Jacob deGrom threw a 71-pitch simulated game this afternoon in Port St. Lucie and appears ready to rejoin the Mets rotation. DeGrom’s week old son was also discharged from the hospital yesterday which is fantastic news! DeGrom has not pitched since April 8th due to a sore right lat, and also because of the birth of his son Jaxon. DeGrom is projected to rejoin the rotation either this weekend in Atlanta or the following series in New York against the Cincinnati Reds.
