Mets Manager Terry Collins stated before this afternoon’s game that starting catcher Travis d’Arnaud will be sidelined until Tuesday with a bruised left elbow. D’Arnaud was injured on the elbow when he was struck by a pitch, by Cleveland Indians reliever Zach McAllister. D’Arnaud initially stayed in the game after the hit-by-pitch but then departed the following half-inning. His injury is not considered serious, as x-rays taken on his elbow were negative.

Kevin Plawecki is starting at catcher this afternoon for the Mets, and he is now expected to get the start in the series opener against the Phillies tomorrow evening.
